Laura Juliana Martínez Díaz was born in Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia in 1999, and is currently finishing her classical saxophone studies in Pamplona, Spain. She began her musical career with her musician father, and her childhood was full of musical projects of all kinds: wind ensemble, saxophone quartet, orchestra, singing in a choir, acting, and more. Now, she is focused on classical and contemporary music for saxophone, with a goal of contributing to the saxophone’s history by collaborating with composers to create new repertoire for the instrument. She will soon be attending the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris to continue her studies and musical growth.
