Filipino-American bassist and educator JP Bernabe is a multi-faceted musician based in New York. JP is a member of the chamber group underStaffed – a collective of musicians dedicated to sharing classical music to people who may not be familiar with the genre. Avid about contemporary music, JP endorses underStaffed’s effort to “regularly program works by lesser-known creators.” As an educator, he regularly coaches at the New Jersey Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as maintain a private studio in the local area. He is currently pursuing his bachelors degree at the Cali School of Music under the tutelage of Jeremy McCoy.
