OneBeat 2017 – Meet the Fellows!

Here they are! The OneBeat Fellows for 2017, from all over the world. Brilliant players and composers, each with a social justice connection to her or his homeland. For our sixth iteration of the OneBeat program in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, we’ve selected adventurous artists from over 1200 applicants worldwide, comprising 17 countries, from Brazil to Jordan to Kazakhstan to Zimbabwe.

Follow the Fellows at 1beat.org.

The Fellows will convene September 20th and spend two weeks at the Pacific Northwest’s Caldera Arts Center near Sisters, Oregon. After an intensive residency spent creating original music and developing exciting new global projects, the Fellows will embark on a socially-engaged performing and educational tour across the Mountain West and Great Plains, stopping in Boise, Idaho, Jackson, Wyoming, and Fort Collins, Colorado. More details about our tour schedule and events coming soon!
