Cantaloupe Music 2018 Collection

Without really planning it, we saw 2018 turn into the year of Michael Gordon and David Lang, with projects by both composers comprising the entirety of our release schedule. Meanwhile, Julia Wolfe is readying a newly recorded work for release in 2019, while her Pulitzer-winning epic Anthracite Fields has continued to draw enthusiastic crowds with performances this season in Knoxville, Kansas City, Washington DC, Scranton, PA (the heart of coal country!), New York and Berlin.

But this year has also been one of wide swings between orchestral majesty and quiet intimacy, with new sounds from Oregon's Britt Orchestra, Bang on a Can All-Stars pianist Vicky Chow, cello goddess Maya Beiser, the legendary Kronos Quartet, and many more. From the Seattle Symphony's oceanic rolls on The Unchanging Sea (and Bill Morrison's stunning film of the same name) to the meditative power of violinist Augustin Hadelich's performance on mystery sonatas, Cantaloupe recordings continue to explore everything that's vibrant, innovative and exciting about new music.

This holiday season, give the Cantaloupe Music 2018 Collection to a music lover on your list. Packaged in a house-made Bang on a Can Tote, The 2018 Collection contains every release of the year, including our digital exclusives, limited-edition vinyl records, and all five albums that were pressed to CD. Also comes with our Cantaloupe USB flash drive containing every release of the year, including digital exclusives, as FLAC and 320kbps MP3 files.

Also available without vinyl, or just as a Cantaloupe USB drive. Substitute out a CD or LP by leaving a note on your order.
